In 1963, a small group of dentists were brought together by similar values and ideals, pride in their Hellenic heritage, and a desire for excellence in their chosen profession. This was the motivation to form our organization. Ever since that first meeting at a Chinese restaurant on South Wabash Street in downtown Chicago, our organization has evolved into a great society with a distinguished group of hard-working members.
For over half a century, HADS has been active in promoting dentistry among our fellow Hellenes, mentoring young dentists, contributing to numerous philanthropic organizations, promoting excellence in the form of continuing education and awarding an annual scholarship to a dental student of Hellenic descent.
HADS is the professional society of Hellenic American dentists and our dedicated mission is in serving the profession of dentistry. HADS provides dental educational seminars, provides philanthropy by donating monetary assistance or dental equipment to charity institutions in the U.S. and Greece and has bestowed scholarships to dental students of Hellenic descent.
